This is probably gonna be the last one from Chasing Smoke for this month, but definitely not for forever! We love this book and it has become a BBQ staple! So far Jamie Oliver's cookbook club has been a blast! Can't wait to see what next month's book is gonna be!
Last night we had:
• Grilled cabbage with chilli and garlic butter (page 26)
• Sweet potatoes with almond tahini (page 62)
• Pork chops with spiced butter (page 205)
It was another feast! The sweet potatoes with the tahini were amazing and I don't know how other people had leftover tahini, but we finished it all. Kept scooping like there's no tomorrow.
And the garlic butter from the cabbage will definitely be used on other vegetable dishes in the future.
Another thing I learned... maybe not very healthy, but... use more butter. I always use oil to make marinades and things like that, but the infused butters in this book are amazing.
The cucumber salad is just some goats yoghurt, garlic, dill, lemon juice and salt over crushed cucumbers.
This is not in the book, but made with leftover ingredients.
