Since this month, I'm in @jamieoliver 's cookbook club on Facebook and so far it's a blast. Jamie chooses a cookbook ones a month and everyone in the club starts cooking from it and sharing recipes. I stepped in this month and the book everyone was talking about was Zoe's Ghana Kitchen from @zoeadjonyoh. Because of brexit I had to wait quite some time for my book to arrive and I had to order spices I'd never heard of before (also super fun) but tonight I finally had the time to cook from the book.

I made these 3 dishes. 3 dishes who where actually lovely together.

• Mango & Pineapple Salad (page 58)

• Suya Steak Bavette (page 127)

• Jollof, but plain without veggies (page 146)

I didn't have the right rice for the jollof, so it ended up a little too sticky, but the flavour was amazing. The meat, an Irish Angus Bavette was pure heaven with the Suya spice mix. It even had a slightly crispy crust. And the salad... to die for together with a bite of the rice. Lovely to cool down from the spicy kick.

The boyfriend hates coriander, so I couldn't douce the meat in it, but I sure did as soon as it was on my own plate.
