My freezer was kind of overflowing with good stuff and I still had a bag with yellow chili peppers somewhere in the back. I needed some space and wanted to clean out the old, so the new food would fit. I decided to buy two mango's en went for a super yellow hot sauce!

If you want it less hot, half the amount of peppers and add 1 bell pepper. I used yellow chili peppers, but the colour doesn't really change the flavour.

Ingredients:

• 2 ripe mangos • 10 (yellow) chili peppers • ½ white onion • 1 garlic clove • 1 tsp salt • 2 tbsp sugar • 150 ml water • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar • juice of 2 lime •

1. Start with boiling your bottles or jars to sterilize them. Is is very important for the shelf life of your sauce. When done right and stored in the fridge, this sauce will survive for months.

2. Put all your ingredients in your kitchen machine or blender. As long as you end up with a smooth sauce without any big chunks.

3. Get a large pan and dump your sauce in it. Bring to a soft boil. Watch out! The stuff will start plipping and it's pretty much like molten lava!

4. Once the sauce is cooking for about 5 minutes, you can fill the bottles/yars. Do this while the sauce it still super hot. But be careful! 🔥

5. Set aside and let cool completely before storing in the fridge.

This sauce is super tasty on fish or chicken.

It's super important to taste the sauce yourself before putting it in a bottle. Maybe you prefer more sugar or a more sour taste. If you don't like it too spicy, do as I said before!

You can also add pineapple in the mix if you have some laying around.

Enjoy!
