My gosh... I feel so Dutch right now. A dish like this is on almost every menu is the typical Dutch restaurant. Very Dutch fried potatoes with mayonaise and a taste of our overseas adventures to the East with saté and peanut sauce. Fushion is too fancy of a word for this, but it kinda is. Comfort food with some heat.
Ingredients saté (8 to 10 skewers):
• 500 gram chicken thighs • ½ onion • 3 garlic cloves • 1 chilli pepper • 1 tsp curry powder • ½ tsp white pepper • ½ tsp smoked paprika powder • ½ tsp coriander powder • ½ tsp laos powder • 3 tbsp soy sauce • 1 tbsp mirin • 2 tbsp oil •
Mix the ingredients together and marinade the chicken for at least 1 hour or overnight. Grill on the BBQ or in a grill pan.
Get your favorite peanut sauce (I always add some sambal and sweet soy sauce to taste, but just make it the way you like it).
Fry your potatoes or fries nice and crisp and pair with a refreshing cucumber salad.
Super easy, super tasty and perfect for pretty much everybody.
Enjoy!
