Do you remember the light and fluffy cherry cake I made not too long ago? Well... Here's the chocolate 🍫 version! It's the opposite of a brownie. Where brownies are dense and heavy, this one is light and not too filling.
Ingredients:
• 75 gram cacao powder • 100 ml hot water • 275 gram flour • 3 eggs • 250 ml whipping cream • 200 gram sugar • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 15 gram baking powder • 150 gram dark chocolate • cup walnuts (optional) •
1. Pre-heat your oven at 180°C. Get a baking tray and line it with baling paper and oil. De-seed the cherries.
2. Mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract. Mix the cacao with the hot water. The cacao should dissolve pretty quickly.
3. Mix the flour and baking powder and sift. Add the cream into the egg mixture and the flour and baking powder after that. Finally add the cacao and water mixture.
4. Chop up the dark chocolate. Stir the chunks into the batter.
5. Mix well. Dump the batter into the baking tray and drop the walnuts on top of it.
6. Bake for 30 minutes and let cool down completely before getting a slice. Serve with powdered sugar, whipped cream or some vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy!
